ROANNE O'DONNELL

Clare works with Scots artist R A O'Donnell to develop works that fuse drawing and painting with performance. Friends and co-tutors at the Nordland Kunst of Filmskole in Norway for many years, they work together in Andalucia where Roanne now lives and works as an artist and curator, and is Presidente de la Fundación Sierra de Libar. 

 

Clare and Roanne share a Celtic heritage and a history of family migration. They work together to unearth and reframe the familial and cultural influences that have shaped them as artists and women. Drawing and writing together leads to collaborative works such as the performance BLOW by Clare, in Roanne's exhibition SURFACE WORK at Toro Spacio Ronda in June 2018.

They also collaborate as curators and are currently working in partnership to present a screened programme of visual art for the Pueblos Blancos Festival in September.
