FLUSH

Miradoux Gascony France May 2017

FLUSH was an impromptu and immersive work made for an audience of writers on a residential workshop with A Chapter Away at Miradoux in Gascony, France in May 2017.

The audience were invited to write on sheets of lavatory paper things that they would like to see the world rid of. Items such as Brexit, Terrorism, Trump, Mosquitos and Boredom were scrawled and the sheets then gathered and one by one and flushed down the lavatory.

The work ended with dancing round the bathroom to Neil Sedaka's 'Breaking Up is Hard to Do'.

With thanks to Karen Pegg from A Chapter Away and Tracey Warr, course leader of Writing Worlds
